ECAT Lab Renovation

A student-maintained and oriented hands-on lab room with the goal of teaching high school students networking and system administration, culminating with the opportunity to take the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification exam.

Renovation Summary

• Three 48 unit Networking / Server Cabinets.
  • Two in the main lab / One outside the main lab.
  • The junior rack consists of a patch panel to the classroom, a VoIP system for all phones in the classroom, 21 Cisco GbE switches, 7 GbE routers, and 2 servers.
  • The senior rack consists of 14 Cisco GbE switches, 21 routers, 1 server, and 6 ASAs.
  • Each rack in the main lab is for high school juniors, and high school seniors respectively.
  • The outside cabinet is shared by both grades for isolated VM testing.
