Lab 4‐1 NET 150 - connor0329/repository-1 GitHub Wiki
In this lab I changed 4 PC's IP addresses and subnet masks to connect them all on the same network via a switch. I also reviewed the address table of the switch after pings to the see the MAC addresses and ports for each PC as well as reviewed the ARP table entries for each PC after the pings to get the IP address and MAC address.
In Cisco packet tracer: -To change IP address and subnet mask on a PC, click on the PC, config, FastEthernet0, type in desired subnet mask and IP address -In command prompt type, "arp -a" to the see the arp cache -For PC's to be on the same network the first numbers of their IP addresses need to be the same -Use the same netmask to connect on the same network -To examine the address table of the switch click on the switch, CLI, Type in the command line interface exit, type show mac-address-table
