Pack Items from Order List

The packing function in Connected Warehouse facilitates the Shipping processes that are integrated in Connected Business. Using this feature, you can assign orders to specific carrier boxes and generate labels for printing. The later feature requires a wi-fi printer that can be configured with Connected Warehouse.

How To Pack Items for Shipment

  1. Tap on the Pack icon in Connected Warehouse to load the list of sales orders with items that have been allocated for specific customers and are ready for packing.

Included in the information is the order code, ship to name, and shipping date.

Notes: Only orders or invoices that have completed the Picking process appear in the Packing list. Check the picking feature in Connected Warehouse if a specific order does not appear in this section.

  1. Choose the relevant purchase order from the list to load a screen that requires you to add a box based on the specified carriers. Tap the Add A Box button to choose between different carrier-specific boxes.

  1. The next screen will list the items placed in a packing box. To add an item, you can enter the UPC (universal product code) in the search bar or scan the bar code on a specific item.

  1. Click on the button labeled With Shipping Address to check and update the details of the ship to address as needed. The changes that you make through your mobile device will be reflected in the Shipment Form in the Connected Business backend.

  1. If you need to use more than one box for a single order, you can tap the command at the bottom of your Packing interface.

The color indicator in the interface changes from Red to Green when an entire order has been packed. Once all of the items have been assigned to their own box, tap on the lower right button to Complete an order.

  1. After completing the task, you can move on to packing other orders by tapping Pack More. You can also tap Print Label to print the generated carrier label.
