TLC Meeting December 20, 2007

The TLC met by teleconference on December 20, 2007 at 3:30 PM EST.

Agenda

1. Spring meeting time.

2. Binary release issues

   • How to handle patches to third party code

   • Moving include files to include/coin

Notes

1. The meeting time for the spring will remain on Wednesdays at 1:30 PM ET.

2. It was decided that patches to ThirdParty code should not be applied by default when running the get.* scripts. Instead, the patch will be checked into the repository and the script for each project requiring a patch will have an argument "-patch" that will automatically apply the patch. There was a lengthy discussion about how to distribute binaries. Not much was concluded. This will be followed up on at the next meeting. For a Windows installer, it was suggested to look at http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page (for installation) and http://www.nabber.org/projects/appupdater/ (for updates).

3. There will be a new release of the build tools soon, after which all projects should have another new release, followed by a release of CoinAll. in the new release, the location of header files will be changed. All PMs have been notified of this change and users will be notified shortly.
