TLC Meeting December 19, 2006

The TLC met by teleconference on December 19, 2006 at 1:00 PM EST.

Old Business

• Standardizing the content and location of README, INSTALL, and AUTHORS files.
• Handling updates in BuildTools
• Update on creation of static Web pages
• Update on creation of zip archives

• Revising project submission procedure and guidelines

Notes

Old Business

• J.P. will look into ensuring the content and location of README, INSTALL, and AUTHORS files is standardized.
• Andreas will send an e-mail to project managers of the "cnnected projects" to obtain permission to update configure files when updates to the build toold require a synchronized upgrade.
• There has been no progress on implementing a mechanism for project managers to create and maintain static Web pages.
• Problem with zip archives being in the wrong format and not building with GNU make has now been fixed.
• Bill Hart has voluntered to spearhead the creation of a new CoinAll project. It was the opinion of those present that a different name for the project would be appropriate.

New Business

• Francois agreed to take a stab at revising the project submission procedures.
• Ted will take a look at what would be required to revise/create better project management guidelines.
• Leo will look into a library versioning system. This will be necessary in order to create RPMs.
• The regular meeting time in the pring will be Tuesdays at 1:00 PM. The next meeting will be January 16, 2007.
