The TLC met by teleconference on November 14, 2007 at 1:00 PM EST.

1. Binary release issues

   • Should we try to pare down the number of headers being included?
   • How about an installation directory for documentation/READMEs, etc.?
   • RPMs
   • Whether/where to include LICENSE/README files?
   • What about other documentation?
   • How do we ensure that the right files are distributed?
   • Should PMs actively approve the spec?
   • CoinAll
   • What should/can we distribute?
   • What platforms?
   • Should this be coordinated with RPM releases? Same projects?

-1. Ted Ralphs was re-elected as chair of the TLC.

0. Laci agreed to make a new Bcp release "soon" so that Bcp could be included with the upcoming CoinAll release.

1. There was general agreement that we should try to pare down the number of header files installed, but this will have to be done by a process of working with each individual project manager to make sure that the number of header files installed is as small as possible. It was agreed to look into the possibility of installing some documentation automatically with the build tools so that binary distributions could include such files as README, LICENSE, INSTALL, and AUTHORS files. There was general discussion about other binary distribution issues.
