Notes
-
We will attempt to get all PMs with projects affected by the bug squashing party to make new releases in an orderly fashion as soon as possible. This will be done by individual word of mouth.
-
Everyone was reminded to please get back to the project review process. It should be easy now that the bug squashing party has ensured that all connected projects build on the most common platforms.
-
With the bug squashing party behind us, Bill Hart will now take the opportunity to launch the CoinTest project. At some point in the relatively near future, we will need/want to start addressing the inadequacy of the current unit tests, which are inadequate for the purposes of doing mass automated testing of many projects. Leo suggested looking into some of the open source packages that exist specifically for implementing unit tests.
-
JP will send out the e-mail to all PMs about deprecation of the MSVisualStudio project.
-
After Kipp adds the ability for PMs to specify what categories they want their projects to be listed in, it will be time to announce the procedure to PMs and ask them to write and commit their individual XML files. We will then move on to implementing automatic generation of the projects.html file from the XML.
-
JP is anxious to create a complete binary distribution for Windows due to an outstanding request for such from a user he knows well./ It was suggested that he wait a week or two and see if we can get all project managers to create new releases containing the bug squashing party fixes, so that the binary could be created from a set of point releases. He agreed to wait a week or two and see what happens. If it doesn't work, then he will create from binaries from fixed version in the current trunks.
-
The meeting time for the fall will be Wednesdays at 1:30 PM EST.
Respectfully Submitted,
Ted Ralphs, TLC Chair
