Agenda

  1. Questions from Brad Bell regarding version numbering
  2. Backup for submissions
  3. Distribution of binaries
  4. Cross-compilation with mingw32msvc
  5. Summer meeting time
  6. Treatment of dependencies
  7. Proposal for version info
  8. Another bug squashing party?

Notes

  1. Brad Bell's version numbering proposal was discussed again and it was decided that there is no reason he can't use the system that he is proposing based on dates and that he should go through and change the version numbers not based on dates back to ones based on dates in order to avoid confusion.
  2. We are looking for someone to back Laci up as submission manager. Please let Ted know if you want to volunteer or know anyone who would be willing to do it.
  3. There was a discussion of how to distribute the binaries being produced by CoinAll. There was some concern that there would be confusion created if binaries were available both for individual projects and for CoinAll. Those present were of the opinion that this would not create confusion, so we will simply add a subdirectory for CoinAll to both the source and binary distribution directories on the Web site and make an announcement that the binaries are available. It was also thought to be a good idea to transfer the CoinAll source to the CoinBinary project, which already has a Trac site and all the requisite infrastructure. Once the binaries are released, we will need a place for folks to post bug reports, etc. This will be done through the CoinBinary project.
  4. There was a brief discussion of the cross-compilation issues with mingw32msvc and it was decided to pursue this a little further. Several folks were willing to put energy into looking into it.
  5. For the folks present, this meeting time worked fine. We will look into setting a regular meeting time for the summer by e-mail.
  6. Remaining discussions were tabled.

Respectfully submitted,

Ted Ralphs, TLC Chair
