TLC Meeting May 11, 2006

The TLC met by teleconference May 11, 2006. The meeting time was called to order 4:04 PM EST.

Notes

1. The binary distribution project is almost ready to launch. Based on feedback from early adopters, the Linux distribution needs to be modified slightly. The next step in the process is to send an announcement to coin-announce explaining the project. Kipp will draft an e-mail and it will be sent as soon as possible.

2. Andreas briefed everyone on the new repository structure and on his progress outfitting current projects to work with the GNU autotools. A preliminary version of the new repository will be available for testing by May 12 or 13.

3. There was a lengthy discussion of the project submission process. It was decided to accept the k-shortest path code, subject to an in-house review by Leo to ensure compliance with guidelines. We will come back to the issue of external reviewers and the possibility of creating a process for refereeing software projects at a later time, once things settle down a little.
