TLC Meeting April 27, 2006

The TLC met by teleconference on 4/27/06. The meeting was called to order at 3:05 PM EST.

Notes

1. There was a short discussion of how to conduct reviews of submitted software using outside reviewers, as discussed at the last TLC meeting. It was decided that we should keep things fairly informal initially, with the goal of making the process as easy as possible on the reviewer. After we see how the first one goes, we can improve the process and formalize it.

2. There was a long discussion regarding the movement of projects to Trac and subversion, as well as movement from the current build system to one that depends on GNU's auto tools. It was decided to make a preliminary test, setting all projects up in subversion temporarily for testing as soon as possible. During the testing, projects are still to be actively managed in the old CVS repository. After everything is working under subversion and all project managers give the OK, current snapshots of the projects will be copied again to subversion and it will become the new repository.
