  2. Archival project guidelines (OTS + new project)
  3. Following up on rethinking build process (?)
  4. New version of SVN (did conversion happen?)
  5. LEMON follow-up
  6. Status of submissions
  7. More problems with editing Wiki in Firefox
  8. Moving OS instance, result, and option readers, writers, and API to CoinUtils

Notes

  1. CoinAll is currently waiting on a release of Osi/DyLP. That should happen soon and will be followed by the remaining projects.

  2. There has been a proposal to submit a project as an "archived project." Although the project management guidelines leave open the possibility of such projects, one has not been submitted so far. It was agreed that such projects should go through the normal submissions process, but would not be required to have a Trac page, a mailing list, or a subversion repository, but rather would only be required to post a static Web page with information about the project and a tarball with the source code. The newly submitted project will go through this new procedure and we will probably also convert the OTS project to this status, since it is not actively maintained.

  3. There was a brief discussion of on-going efforts to reform the build process. Peter Malkin is still in search of a package manager. Building one in-house from the test tools scripts was more or less ruled out, though it is still a possibility in the long run. Laci expressed the desire to start numbering libraries appropriately in order to allow that RPMs and .debs to work properly. This has not been done up until now.

  4. The conversion to the new SVN database format did not happen as scheduled. It will be rescheduled soon.

  5. LEMON is now our first fully vetted project hosted off site.

  6. Laci reviewed the status of submissions.

  7. The TRAC Wiki still be edited with certain versions of Firefox. At the moment, we have at least one example of problems with Firefox 3.0.8 in both Windows and MAC OSX. It's clear what to do about this.

  8. There was a discussion of the possibility of moving the I/O routines in OS to CoinUtils, so that they could be used by projects like Couenne without causing circular dependencies. At the same time, this raises again the previously discussed possibility of splitting up CoinUtils into subprojects, which it looks like will now be done finally. Laci will think about it and we will discuss it next meeting.

Respectfully submitted,

Ted Ralphs, TLC Chair
