Slack - adding outside collaborators

if you would like to add outside collaborators to Slack consider who are you adding first.

contractors/consultants

Add with limited access to channels that are are relevant. For long term external collaborators there is no need to add a expiration date for the invite, but for short term it is recommended to add a time limit. Slack will prompt you to take action once that time is getting closer.

partners and join projects

for partners and join projects use Slack Connect functionality to connect two separate workspaces in a new channel. This allows people from our team to be added to the channel without giving partners access to data they don’t need and should not get access to and vice versa.
