Relocating to Estonia from outside the EU
REQUIREMENTS:
We may be able to support relocating to Estonia if you have worked in the company for 1 year. Speak to your team lead and request this. You can already start the conversation before your 1 year term is complete.
Here are the details regarding relocating to Estonia from outside the EU.
Step 1. get D visa
You will need employment agreements with the Estonian company Nevercode OÜ. You will need to apply for a long-term D-visa (granted for 360 days during which time they have to get the long term residence permit). I highly recommend, that once you are in Estonia, you will immediately apply for a short-term residence permit (short term = up to 5 years).
Step by step guide on what you need to do to get to Estonia
- Apply for the long-term D-visa:
- e.g. in India https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/est/apply-visa
- e.g. in Angola : https://visalist.io/estonia/visa-requirements/angola
- You need to find this info yourself for your country.
- See the list on documents you need in order to apply for the long term D-visa. Agree what help will company provide (like finding apartment, helping with bringing family members, finding daycare or school for children). You need to cover your own costs for travel.
- Once you have everything sorted with the D visa the paperwork, you should prefill the visa application online: https://vm.ee/en/visa-application-forms to enter the country
- Then you should book an appointment with the local consulate to submit everything:
- e.g. India: https://visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/est/book-an-appointment
- e.g. Angola: https://www.visahq.com/estonia/embassy/angola/ Employer (Martin Jeret) has to register both as employees: https://www2.politsei.ee/et/teenused/eestis-tootamine/luhiajalise-tootamise-registreerimine/. Here’s what Martin Jeret need for that:
- Wait for 30-90 days for the visa
- Welcome to Estonia
