We made a self-playing electric guitar that can play any song, as long as that song is Wonderwall (or any other four chord song that has the same key and song structure). This was done with a Python app, Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller, servos, and solenoids. The Python app serves as the graphical user interface for the user to pause, play, and move throughout the song. The app then uses this input and sends commands to the Pi Pico to control the hardware. The solenoids press down on the correct strings, while the servos strum the strings to the rhythm of Wonderwall. As of one and a half hours before Demo Day, we have not yet fully assembled the project but we have hope...
