Installation

RenoDX works as an addon for ReShade, meaning it uses ReShade's hooks and functions to dig deep into a game in order to inject rewritten shaders and more.

Install Reshade 6.8.0+ with full add-on support. No shaders necessary. Select the game executable which is usually found by the installer, or pick the executable manually. If installing against Xbox, target gamelaunchhelper.exe.
Download the addon file from the list below by clicking the Snapshot/Nexus/Discord badges.
Copy the .addon64 or .addon32 file into the game folder where Reshade is installed.

All done! When you boot up the game, RenoDX can be customized by opening the ReShade menu with the Home key.

You can join the RENODX Discord where the mods are being developed by clicking HERE.

Snapshot builds may not be stable but are more up to date than NEXUSMODS counterparts.

If you have a washed out image, disable AUTOHDR and RTX HDR to avoid double tonemapping.

Multi-Game Mods

Unreal Engine Extended

A rework of the generic mod for Unreal Engine. Allows using HDR path instead of SDR -> HDR upgrade for increased stability and working Frame Generation without the need for DLSSFIX or resource upgrades.

Note

Installation with RHI is highly recommened. It simplifies and automates the install on dozens of games.

Note

If a game already has native HDR, enable it and set Upgrade Path: Off in RenoDX to use HDR path.

Some games may have issues with HDR path. If you experience issues with a game, try disabling native HDR and using Upgrade Path: On with possible resource upgrades instead.

Note

If you are having issues with SDR upgrade path, or non-working real-time sliders, your game might require an Engine.ini file for optimal HDR support.

Engine.ini tweaks aren't recommended for UE4 games.

Set Upgrade Path: Off in the RenoDX menu before proceeding. Add one or both parts to your Engine.ini:

The list below doesn't represent every game working with the mod, this is just what has been tested by the community. You can use the mod on any UE4-5 game. The general order for getting HDR in non-listed games is this:

Native HDR > Engine.ini HDR (UE5 Only) > and if neither works, Upgrade Path: On with possible resource upgrades.

If you're still not getting HDR, or having other issues, enable 'Dump LUT Shaders' and share them on the Discord so they are added.
