Hydra Cluster features a number of light systems. The goal with lighting was to use light to emit information (i.e. status) and for visual aesthetics.

The enclosure facing Raspberry Pi Zero hosts a Pimoroni Blinkt LED indicator bar. The LED bar is used to display the operating status of the four Pi Zero's.

Red bank of solid lights	Fatal error detected
Red ping-pong lights	Errors detected
Blue pulsating lights	Processing...

Lights are controlled using a Python Flask service and the Blinkt library
