The Hydra Cluster uses three Raspberry Pi 3's, each of which is running a custom distribution of Linux called Raspbian Jesse lite.

For instructions on how to flash an SD card see SD card backup and restore.

The cluster's Raspberry Pi Zeros are running a distribution provided by the folks at ClusterHat

Each installation was modified to support both DHCP and static networking. Additionally, each Pi was equipped with NodeJS 6.5 for Arm architectures.
