Android Tablet/Phone + Aldiko Book Reader

Only portrait mode. No zoom options are available but they are not needed if high quality source files are used and screen is large enough.

KCC settings:

  • Profile: Other
  • Target format: EPUB
  • Horizontal mode: A matter of taste.
  • Upscale images: Enable if source images are smaller than device resolution.
  • Gamma: 1.0
  • Color mode: Enabled
  • Width, Height: Use resolution of your device screen.
  • All other: Disabled

Additional instructions:

  1. Open Aldiko options and set margins to 0.

Cybook Bookeen Ocean

  • Profile: Other
  • Target Format: EPUB
  • Horizontal Mode: I prefer it on, up to you.
  • Width: 820
  • Height: 950
  • W/B margins: I prefer checked, makes it easy to further optimize scaling.

This produces a usable file for an 8" 768*1024-resolution e-reader.

Nook Color

Firmware version 1.4+ is required. CBZ files are used as Nook Color parse them better than EPUB filled with images.

KCC settings:

  • Profile: Other
  • Target format: CBZ
  • Horizontal mode: A matter of taste.
  • Gamma: Auto (or 1.0 if image is too dark)
  • Color mode: Enabled
  • Width: 600
  • Height: 940
  • All other: Disabled

Additional instructions:

  1. If Horizontal mode is used turn off Auto-rotate screen option in Nook settings.

Nook Simple Touch

This model don't have any zoom options but is still usable if high quality source files are used.

KCC settings:

  • Profile: Other
  • Target format: EPUB
  • Horizontal mode: A matter of taste.
  • Width: 600
  • Height: 715
  • All other: Disabled

Additional instructions:

  1. Tap center of the screen. A menu should pop up on the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select Text.

  3. On the bottom-right, check the box labeled Publisher Defaults.

Pocketbook InkPad 3

1404 & 1872 x 97,5% to to keep the small edges uniform

  • Profile: Other
  • Target format: EPUB
  • Width: 1369
  • Height: 1825
  • Manga mode : Checked (I read manga ! :D )
  • Spread splitter : Checked
  • Stretch/Upscale : Checked (With the size of the INKPAD 3, i think it's better to checked, but do like you prefer)
  • Gamma : Auto
  • All other: Disabled

Sony PRS-T3

Due to lack of downscaling images can't be larger than the screen. That cause low quality of zoom.
