Unsupported directory structure

• Source directory/archive have the incorrect directory structure.
• The most common issue is having a cover image and individual chapter folders on the same level. Move the cover image into the first chapter's folder, renaming as necessary to ensure it is first in the file order.
• Check this for more details.

Extraction failed.

• Install specialized extraction software: https://github.com/ciromattia/kcc/wiki/Installation#7-zip

Failed to prepare a workspace

• Source files or directories use too long names.
• Third party application is blocking KCC temporary files in some way.

Source directory is empty

• Selected directory don't contain any image files. You cannot have individual chapters in archives.
  • You cannot use the 'directory' feature with e.g. CBR files. Add them manually by multi-selection via "Add File(s)"

Failed to extract images from PDF file

• PDF file has too complex structure.
• Images inside PDF file are not JPG.

Failed to extract archive

• Archive is corrupted.
• Archive have a password.
• Archive is multipart.
• Files or directories inside use too long names.

Failed to detect archive format

• Archive is corrupted or use unsupported format.

Image file X is corrupted

• Specified file is damaged and cannot be processed.

Target directory is not writable

• KCC don't have rights to create files in directory containing source files.

Not enough disk space to perform the conversion.

• There is not enough space on the disk that store temporary files.
• You may use a different temporary directory on MacOS: TMPDIR=/Volumes/exchange/tmp open /Applications/Kindle\ Comic\ Converter.app
