UPDATE 2022/09: 7th gen and later Kindles running firmware 5.15.1+ read covers directly from PDOC tagged books, so cover upload is not neccessary for those models. For 6th gen and older, follow below instructions.

For technical reasons library view mode available on newer Kindle models don't display covers embedded in e-book file but use a special cover cache. And that cache is not updated when the file is manually sideloaded by dropping it to Documents folder.

To have proper covers in library view one of two things must be done:

1. Kindle need to be connected to the computer during KCC conversion. This way cover cache will be updated automatically. After that files can be sideloaded normally.
