Objective

To improve Dilbert's ability to fill issues in a timely and effective manner, in order to increase team productivity and meet project deadlines.

Performance Issues

  1. Failure to complete assigned issues within the designated time frame.
  2. Inconsistent communication with team members regarding progress and obstacles related to assigned issues.
  3. Poor quality of work on assigned issues.

Action Plan

  1. Dilbert will meet with her supervisor to discuss the specific reasons for her difficulty in completing assigned issues, and to identify strategies for overcoming these challenges.
  2. Dilbert will participate in a training program focused on best practices for issue tracking and management.
  3. Dilbert will work closely with a designated mentor within the team to receive guidance and support in filling issues effectively.
  4. Dilbert will implement new processes to improve the quality of her work, including performing thorough testing and reviewing code changes with a peer before submitting.

Timeline

The Performance Improvement Plan will be in effect for the next 60 days, during which time Dilbert's progress will be closely monitored. At the end of the 60-day period, a review will be conducted to determine if Dilbert has met the goals set out in the Action Plan. If Dilbert has successfully met the objectives, the PIP will be considered complete. However, if Dilbert has not made sufficient progress, further action may be taken, up to and including termination of employment.
