Description | When allocating TDMA slots (message 20) this contains the TDMA slot offset for up to four slot reservations. In message type 16, there may be up to two offset values - if the corresponding msg.payload.increment is non-zero, the offset is the number of times per 10-minute interval for the addressed station to report; if the increment is zero, the offset is the TDMA slot offset for the addressed station. In message type 15, the offset is a request for the addressed station to respond using that TDMA time slot. Up to three offsets may be returned. For a full understanding of TDMA as used by AIS, consult ITU-R M.1371-4. |
