Gameplay

Battleship is a computer game where two players try to guess where the opponent’s ships are located in order to sink them before losing his/her fleet first. The main purpose of the game is to guess where the opponent fleet is located in the board that is made up of vertical and horizontal grid. One player at a time calls out the location coordinates in the other’s player board in an attempt to discover the exact location of the ship and sink them.

SETUP

Each player has a board with two grids, bottom one for placing the ship and the upper one to mark shots. The setup contains also red and white pegs used to fill the holes on the board and the ships, the white peg is used to mark a miss and is placed in the grid while red one is used to marking shot in this case it will be used to fill the ship holes in case the ship was hit. Strength is defined by the number of holes in each ship, which determines how many hits it can take before it is sunk.

  • Carrier, which has five holes

  • Battleship, which has four holes

  • Cruiser, which has three holes

  • The submarine, which has three holes

  • Destroyer, which has two holes

BASIC GAMEPLAY

Players alternate discharging shots (by getting out a grid coordinate) to endeavour to hit the opponent's enemy ships.

On your turn, get out a letter and a number that identifies a row and column on your objective grid. Your opponent watches that coordinate on their sea grid and verbally reacts "miss" if there is no ship there or "hit" in the event that you have accurately speculated a space that is involved by a ship.

Imprint every one of your shots or endeavours to shoot on the enemy utilizing your objective matrix (upper part of the board) by utilizing white pegs to archive your misses and red pegs to register your hits. As the game continues, the red pegs will bit by bit distinguish the size and area of your opponent's boats
