Draw your icon using this Illustrator template, which includes most relevant instructions. In addition:

• The recommendations in the Illustrator Doc are generally applicable to these icons, too.
• Don't use Pathfinder operations.
• Unlike other SVGs, session icons get round stroke joins and caps by default. You can use other kinds, but it's better if you use round (if that works for your art).
• Tip: If you are resizing to make your image work in the template file, double-clicking on the Scale Tool will allow you to control whether you are scaling the strokes along with your image.
