Season of Discovery (SoD) added Runes to the game as unique class specific abilities and effects. Runes are engraved onto equipment of a specific slot to activate.

Chest (Phase 1)

Deadly Brew

  • If your weapon does not have a poison applied, it has a chance to trigger Instant Poison as if Instant Poison were applied.
  • When you inflict any other poison on a target, you also inflict Deadly Poison.
  • Deadly Poison and Instant Poison now gain increased damage from your Attack Power. Instant Poison gains 3% of Attack Power while Deadly Poison gains 3.6% (0.9% per tick) of Attack Power per stack.

While Deadly Brew is engraved no poisons need to be applied in order to proc Instant poison and will work with all weapon imbues other than rogue poisons.

Just a Flesh Wound

  • While Blade Dance is active, you take 20% reduced Physical damage
  • You have a 6% reduced chance to be critically hit by melee attacks
  • Threat generated by all your actions is massively increased (details required)
  • Your Feint ability is replaced with Tease, which Taunts the target to attack you

Quick Draw

  • Quick Draw benefits from all talents and effects that trigger from or modify Sinister Strike.
  • 25 Energy
  • 20 yd range
  • 10 second cooldown
  • Normalized Ranged weapon damage
  • 50% run speed debuff for 6 seconds on target
  • Awards 1 Combo Point

Slaughter from the Shadows

  • Reduces the Energy cost of your Backstab and Ambush abilities by 20
  • Does not apply to Mutilate

Legs (Phase 1)

Between the Eyes

  • 35 Energy Cost
  • 20 yd range (no minimum range)
  • Finishing move that deals damage and stuns the target
  • Requires ranged weapon (Thrown do not count)
  • Damage based on Melee AP?
  • Stun based on Combo Points spent (1s per Combo Point)

Blade Dance

  • 25 Energy
  • Finishing move that increases your Parry chance by 10% (was 5% + Combo Points until mid Phase 1)
  • Lasts longer per combo point
  • Provides 20% Physical damage reduction if Just a Flesh Wound is engraved

1 point: 14 seconds

2 points: 18 seconds

3 points: 22 seconds

4 points: 26 seconds

5 points: 30 seconds

Envenom

  • 35 Energy Cost
  • Finishing move that deals instant poison damage based on your Deadly Poison doses (stacks) on the target.
  • Gain 75% increased frequency (multiplicative) of applying Instant Poison for 1 second plus an additional 1 sec per combo point.
  • One does (Deadly Poison stack) is activated per combo point
  • Deadly Poison stacks are NOT consumed on cast
  • Damage is increased by Vile Poisons talent
  • Gains damage from Spellpower at 1 Spellpower -> 1 Damage
  • Cast outcome is determined through the physical hit table, but damage dealt is Nature and ignores Armor

Hands (Phase 1)

Main Gauche

  • Main Gauche benefits from all talents and effects that trigger from or modify Sinister Strike.
  • 15 Energy Cost (35 -> 15 mid P2)
  • 20 second cooldown
  • Normalized off-hand damage
  • Gain 10% Parry for 10 seconds
  • Awards 3 Combo Points (1 -> 3 mid P2)

Mutilate

  • Mutilate benefits from all talents and effects that trigger from or modify Backstab unless otherwise specified.
  • 40 Energy Cost (60 -> 40 on Phase 2 launch)
  • Normalized Main hand and off-hand weapon damage plus flat damage
  • Damage is increased by 20% against Poisoned targets (any Poison effect)
  • Awards 2 Combo Points
  • Initial cast is a "ghost hit" that will proc the main hand for all normal effects
  • Since launch the 2nd hit of Mutilate will consume the effect of Remorseless Attacks if the cast will cause an eligible mob to die

Saber Slash

  • Saber Slash benefits from all talents and effects that trigger from or modify Sinister Strike.
  • 45 Energy cost
  • Normalized main hand damage
  • Apply Bleed effect (Max 3 stacks) (AP scaling damage per stack)
  • Awards 1 Combo Point

Shadowstrike

  • 20 Energy Cost
  • Requires Stealth
  • 25 yd range
  • Teleport behind your target and strike, causing 150% weapon damage (normalized) to the target.
  • Teleportation does NOT require a path
  • Awards 1 combo point.

Shiv

  • Shiv benefits from all talents and effects that trigger from or modify Sinister Strike.
  • Cost is equal to 20 + 10 * weaponSpeed. Ex: 1.4 Fist costs 34 Energy to cast Shiv.
  • Normalized off-hand damage
  • 100% chance to apply the poison from your off-hand weapon to the target (only if applied, not by Deadly Brew)*
  • Awards 1 Combo Point

Waist (Phase 2)

Poisoned Knife

  • Poisoned Knife benefits from all talents and effects that trigger from or modify Sinister Strike.
  • 25 Energy Cost
  • 8 - 25 yd range
  • Normalized off-hand damage
  • 100% chance to apply the poison from your off-hand weapon to the target (only if applied, not by Deadly Brew)*
  • Awards 1 Combo Point

Shadowstep

  • 25 yd range
  • 30 second cooldown
  • Uses the Global Cooldown (GCD) unlike other versions of the ability
  • May be used while snared, but does not remove the effect
  • Attempts to place you behind target enemy, but requires a path unlike other versions of this ability
  • Grants 70% increased movement speed for 3 seconds (overwriting active Sprint or similar move % effects)

Shuriken Toss

  • 30 Energy
  • 25 yd range
  • Throw a shuriken at your enemy dealing damage equal to 15% of your Attack Power
  • Shuriken bounces to up to 4 additional nearby targets (within 10 yards of initial target) (Before 2nd week of P2 the bounce was unchained from initial target and was 15 yd range)
  • Awards 1 Combo Point

Feet (Phase 2)

Master of Subtlety

  • Attacks made while stealthed and for 6 seconds after breaking stealth cause an additional 10% damage
  • The associated damage % increase is global and applies to poisons

Rolling with the Punches

  • Each time you Dodge or Parry, you gain 6% increased Health, stacking up to 5 times.
  • Health gained per stack is not lost from current health when effect fades. (No health points are lost when stacks fade)

Waylay

  • Your Ambush and Backstab hits unbalance your target, increasing the time between their melee attacks by 10%, and reducing movement speed by 50% for 8 sec.
  • This effect does not apply to boss mobs due to the associated snare
