Luca and Darian arrive in Crusche, and meet the first pool of applicants in a warehouse he rented by the docks. Captain Morgan Hargrove crosses paths with Faelynn, who is chasing some sort of monster around the docks. They both are delivered directly to Luca and Darian. Maria and Judas are arguing in the streets of the Crux. Judas is attempting to exorcise Maria. Luca comments on the dynamics of the Church and the Crux in Crusche. Once the argument ends, and Judas returns to the Sonnerie, Luca feels a very strong compulsion to follow after him. The main party, short of Maria, gathers at the church.

Luca explains what he knows about the Broken God.

• Artifacts fell from the heavens into the Downside, having great and varied powers.
• The artifacts respond to one another, giving further credit to the idea that they are pieces of a fractured entity, rather than just unrelated magical items.
• Luca has a god piece - the Eye of the Broken God. He is not naive enough to claim he knows its full power, but he knows this:
  • The Eye shows him things about people, places, and things that could not be known otherwise
  • It is opinionated, and stops working if ignored
  • He has used it to identify these specific people as (parts of) the party he needs to travel with to unite the scattered God Pieces
  • The Eye says there is at least one other piece within the city, and he has heard of pieces to the East and West

Murders in the Crux.

• A priest was found dead outside a brothel this morning. Overnight, another attack occurs.
  • Maria runs to the church worried that she's killed a man. She doesn't know what to do.
  • An enemy lurks around the town, studying the party as they search for clues. See 'Hunted'

The Lungs of the Broken God.

• See 'The Broken God - Crusche Proper'

• Dicky Mobe - The great white squid
• Darian is kicked from the Sonnerie
• The Phalyngians abandoned Corellon for Ioun worship in San Tapaz
• Darian said he wants to bring magic back to his homeland
• The grog at Agatha's Tavern tastes like death
• They have seen the Leper Queen and the knife. Morgan narrowly avoided death.
• Judas got very angry at Luca. Luca won 47 GP gambling while discussing important matters.
• Darian got cucked. Quite insane
• Captain Morgan Careful Hargrove

• Two of Faelynn's rats are dead
• Luca has organized a meeting with the poor girl who slept with the dead priest. This will happen in the morning in the farms outside of town.
• The Leper Queen knows the party exists, knows they're searching for her, and knows they're attached to Luca
