As a member of the Rem tribe, she struggles to get good sleep, as she is pursued in her dreams by a being known as The Night Horror
This leaves her fairly nocturnal, as she catches only winks of sleep at a time through both day and night avoiding the demon
She hopes someday to study the Night Horror enough to capture it in her book, and in pursuit of those hopes, writes all she can remember of the few dreams she manages to have very judiciously
