Deploy an LTE Environment using srsLTE and Magma - caprivm/virtualization GitHub Wiki
caprivm ([email protected])
This page explains all the steps required to connect the srsRAN (UE+eNB) simulation to a vEPC based on Magma (https://www.magmacore.org/). The following specifications show the hardware and software used to deploy the environment.
Reference: Install srsRAN (UE+eNB) in a Single Machine
The hardware and software it was tested on a single-machine with the next considerations:
Feature | Value |
---|---|
OS Used | Ubuntu 18.04 LTS |
vCPU | 4 |
RAM (GB) | 8 |
Disk (GB) | 60 |
Home user | ubuntu |
srsLTE Tag | master |
Reference: Deploy the AGW on Ubuntu
Reference: Deploy the Magma Orchestrator using Docker
Reference: Connect the Magma AGW with the Magma Orchestrator
The hardware and software for the AGW was tested on this:
Feature | Value |
---|---|
OS Used | Ubuntu 20.04 LTS |
Image base | focal-server-cloudimg-amd64.img |
vCPU | 4 |
RAM (GB) | 8 |
Disk (GB) | 60 |
Home user | ubuntu |
Magma Tag | v1.6 |
The hardware and software for the Magma orchestrator was tested on this:
Feature | Value |
---|---|
OS Used | Ubuntu 18.04 LTS |
vCPU | 4 |
RAM (GB) | 8 |
Disk (GB) | 60 |
Home user | ubuntu |
Magma Tag | v1.6 |
Given the number of steps under consideration and how graphical the deployment of this environment is, a video tutorial (in Spanish) is provided to simulate the LTE environment.
