In keeping with the idealistic nature of this course, you will be judged on your contributions to the class. There will be no quizzes or tests per se, rather you will be expected to contribute throughout the semester by participating in discussions, making brief presentations, re-staging debates, and posing speculations about unobservable properties of matter. These speculations will be used to design experiments to test your theories.
