11/20/2013: No class tonight

I need to go to a CalArts/Google meeting tonight so you have the evening off! However there is a quick assignment I would like you to do.

Grab a recording device and capture some kind of recognizable periodic
motion. You may use a digital camera, your smartphone, a Zoom recorder,
etch-a-sketch, sketchpad, something that allows you to inscribe a trace and
share it with the class.

We will describe the qualities and periodicity of the motion. Then we will
ask how adding to / subtracting mass from the object in motion would change
the motion and comparing the results in each case.

Send me (a link to) your recording so we can talk about them in class next
week.

Extra credit: find a mass in motion with a period that will not be changed
by the addition or subtraction of mass.
