How to find out the stat multipliers - cadon/ARKStatsExtractor GitHub Wiki

If you have no access to the stat-multipliers on the server, you can try to find them out. This needs a bit time and trial and error. It can become a bit cumbersome to do, so if you by any chance have the possibility to get the plain numbers from the admin, take that way. This guide should be only the last resort and isn't garantueed to give the needed numbers.

To make things easier, you can use the stat-multiplier-testing, which can be enabled in the settings - general - dev-tools. It allows in an easy way to change all relevant settings to find the correct ones. You also can calculate multipliers dependant on the other multipliers. It's not fully automatic, but makes the process much easier.

What you need

It gets much easier if you have a mod like the super / awesome spyglass to see the creature levels. You need the stat values of

  • a low level wild creature
  • a tamed one with low TE (e.g. punch it while taming)
  • the same tamed creature with exactly 1 level applied to all possible stats
  • a different creature tamed with a different TE (preferably at least 50% difference)
  • a bred creature with high imprinting which has been cryoed and uncryoed before reading the stats

Wild-Level

Mostly these values are not changed from their default value of 1.

For the wild-increase you need some low level (around level 5) creatures until you have found for each stat one that has increased that stat only once. Check if the stat-values are the same when you set the according level to 1 on a wild creature. Optimally test this on multiple creatures to make sure that a certain stat is not increased twice or more. If you notice the value in the tool is off, click on the C button below the IwM to set the multiplier to the needed value. Usually the correct value has rather 1 or at most 2 decimal places, but not always.

Tame-Add and Tame-Affinity

For these two values it gets a bit trickier: there's an additive bonus and a multiplicative bonus, but that's not for all stats (usually the multiplicative bonus is only for damage and for some species also for food). The Tame-Add bonus is mostly 0.5 for HP and torpor and various values for speed and damage. The Tame-Affinity-bonus is mostly only for damage and sometimes for food.

With this the Ta-Tm-TBHM solver can help (the buttons at the very right of each stat row), it needs to different level combinations with different TE; first enter the values, press Store 1st, then enter the second and click Srv to solve for the server multipliers (the Spc button is if you want to solve for an unknown species value, you probably can ignore that one).

Tame-Add

For the additive-bonus, knock out a level 1 creature, force-feed it or hit it carefully until the taming effectiveness (TE) is very low, prereably at 0%. Then finish the taming. Look at all the stats and note any difference in the values. Check if the differences are the same if the TE is set to 0%. If there are differences, click the C button to calculate the needed value, usually few decimal places indicate a plausible value.

Tame-Affinity

The multiplicative taming-bonus depends on the taming-effectiveness, so if you tame a creature with 100 % TE (only possible with cheats, e.g. forcetame), you get the full bonus. For a TE of 50 % you get half of the bonus. That multiplicative bonus is applied after the additive bonus. So to get it, tame a creature with a high TE and compare it with the values in the multiplier tester if the TE is set to 0 %. Each value that differs, has a multiplicative bonus. Usually these are only damage and sometimes food, make sure you have a creature that has the multiplicative bonus on both (e.g. a dodo), to get both multipliers (also see the paragraph above about the Ta-Tm-Solver).

Tamed-Level

Once you have all the other numbers, you can go for the tamed-level-multipliers. These are easier, but you need a creature that you can level easily, so preferably a carnivore.

So far you should be able to extract the post-tame stats of that creature. Note down the wild levels. Apply one level to each stat, then enter the values again and click the C button for each stat where the calculations are off to receive the IdM multiplier.

StatScaleMultiplier for imprinted bred creatures

You need an unleveled bred and imprinted creature. Due to a bug in ARK it's important to cryo and uncryo the according creature before proceeding, some values are not displayed correctly for bred creatures when not doing so and the multiplier determination might fail or result in wrong numbers.

In the multiplier tester enter the value for the imprinting bonus and the value for torpidity with the according level (for unleveled creatures the torpidity level is one less than the creature's level). Click on the IBM button in the torpidity row at the right and note the calculated IBM-value from the top.

Save settings

If promising values have been found, the menu Stat Multipliers - Copy Stat Multipliers to Settings can be used to set the values. Then they can be tested in the extractor.

Also, in the extractor the Save values option in the toolbar can be helpful, it will save the entered values, so they can be used later easily without typing all the values again by selecting it in the combobox.
