What is EDTracker2 (EDTracker DIY)

EDTracker DIY is an open source head tracking solution that provides gamers with a mechanism for tracking the movement of their real-world head and reflecting that change of view inside PC computer games. It takes a different approach to traditional head tracking solutions that involve infra-red light sources mounted on the players head, tracked by an external special camera, and instead employs MEMS gryoscope/accelerometers (tiny electronic devices, as found in fitness devices and mobile phones) to track head movement. It then reflects this to your PC as a simple USB joystick.

The device can be constructed from freely available Arduino-style components

There was a commercial product, [EDTracker Pro] which is no longer available from the manufacturer. Please note this GitHub project is not associated with EDTracker Pro and deals with the DIY version only.
