Background
Bathroom has an exhaust fan with integrated light, nightlight, and heater. It is labeled Panasonic Fan Heater, model FV-11VHL2.
Problem
The fixture has two sockets for light bulbs for the main light. In this case, the fixture had a single bulb, which burned out. It was a CFL bulb with a GU35 base and the following markings: Maxlite MLS13GU35 3500K 1040LM 13W 120V 60HZ 80CRI 200mA.
Approach
Wanted to replace the CFL with LED light bulbs. Also wanted to increase the amount of light in the room while maintaining a warm light temperature.
I read that GU24 bases often fit fixtures designed for GU35 bases. Bought these two LED bulbs with GU24 bases for $20 ($10 each). Specs from product page: 2700K-3000K 1250LM 10W 120V 82CRI.
Outcome
The new bulbs fit into the fixture. The amount and quality of light are fine.
