  • WHAT IS INTERNET
    • The Internet is a vast network that connects computers all over the world. Through the Internet, people can share information and communicate from anywhere with an Internet connection.
    • Together, all publicly accessible websites constitute the World Wide Web.

  • WHAT IS WEBSITE
    • A website is a collection of linked web pages (plus their associated resources) that share a unique domain name. Each web page of a given website provides explicit links—most of the time in the form of clickable portion of text—that allow the user to move from one page of the website to another.
    • To access a website, type its domain name in your browser address bar, and the browser will display the website's main web page, or homepage (casually referred as "the home") image
    • The ideas of a web page and a website are especially easy to confuse for a website that contains only one web page. Such a website is sometimes called a single-page website.

    • A web page can embed a variety of different types of resources such as:

      • style information — controlling a page's look-and-feel
      • scripts — which add interactivity to the page
      • media — images, sounds, and videos.

[slide-4] WHAT IS A WEB SERVER - A web server is a computer hosting one or more websites. "Hosting" means that all the web pages and their supporting files are available on that computer. The web server will send any web page from the website it is hosting to any user's browser, per user request. -

    • Search engines are a common source of confusion on the web. A search engine is a special kind of website that helps users find web pages from other websites.

    • "A web browser, or simply 'browser,' is an application used to access and view websites. Common web browsers include Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari.
    • The primary function of a web browser is to render HTML, the code used to design or 'mark up' webpages".

    • User interface design is a purely digital practice. It considers all the visual, interactive elements of a product interface—including buttons, icons, spacing, typography, color schemes, and responsive design.
    • The goal of UI design is to visually guide the user through a product’s interface. It’s all about creating an intuitive experience that doesn’t require the user to think too much!

    • User experience design is the process of developing and improving the quality of interaction between a user and all facets of a company.
    • UX design is NOT about visuals; it focuses on the overall feel of the experience.

    • Are you thinking if full stack developers are in demand? Or what’s the scope of full-stack development in 2020? As mentioned earlier, A full-stack developer’s career is the most demanding and fulfilling one. It involves a combination of work at the front-end and back-end to build website applications.

    • You’ll be glad to know that full-stack development jobs are considered one of the highest paying jobs in India. This is primarily because of its demand and the lack of skilled professionals in this domain. On average, a full-stack developer in India earns INR 9.24 LPA. The pay varies depending on experience, job location, company size, etc. An experienced full-stack developer can earn INR 16 LPA, and a fresher can expect minimum INR 5–6 LPA to start with.
