Meeting Results
- We dwelled on what constitutes the location of a place. The geographic location or the place where you assign that memory of yours to. Ultimately, we recognized that the story told by someone generally revolves around the place (i.e. a barber shop) rather than the pinpoint location. However, to be able to attach a story to a specific place we do need a geographical location, and attach a story to there.
- We asked our stakeholder to draw us a memory picture of his from Boğaziçi University Campus, and noted the components of the story to be:
- The marginal factor that distinguishes his memory form others to be a full-fledged story. In this case, the time component. The fact that a place was open 7/24.
- A social component that moved the storyteller, namely, the effect of that place being closed.
- A wish to share a glimpse of that experience.
- Significant participants, cats.
- Also, we considered that we should definitely incorporate domain specific input in our design, like expressing time periods, and creating tags around the story components discussed above.
