Requirements Page Review Meeting - bounswe/bounswe2025group10 GitHub Wiki

Date: April 18, 2024
Attendees: Toprak, Samed, Umut
Duration: 2 hours

โœ… Agenda

  • Review and revise the Requirements Specification Document
  • Clear ambiguous statements
  • Remove redundant or duplicate statements
  • Organize functional requirements and glossary
  • Ensure consistency and clarity in requirement statements

๐Ÿง  Key Decisions & Progress

  • We restructured the "Requirements" document for clarity and organization.
  • The glossary was refined, and new terms such as "streak" and "streak freeze" were added for better understanding.
  • We grouped and refined functional requirements under appropriate subheadings (e.g., Registration, Dashboard, Social), previous version contained unnecessary main headings and duplicate topics under those headings.
  • We clarified role-based access and the role of administrators in the glossary and functional requirements.
  • We decided to treat email and in-app notifications as part of user engagement and clarified how reminders and encouragement messages will function.

โš ๏ธ Outstanding Items

  • The current revision is not yet complete. We paused before reaching the final sections.
  • The concept of the โ€œforumโ€ is unclear:
    • Is it distinct from regular social media-style posts?
    • What is its purpose compared to the discussion section in post comments?
    • Should it be merged or renamed to avoid confusion?
  • The whole page is not done, the work should be continued:
    • Final functional requirements
    • Further group the functional requirements as "System Requirements" and "User Requirements"

๐Ÿ“Œ Next Steps

  • Schedule a follow-up meeting to finalize the requirements.
  • Clarify:
    • What the "forum" feature should look like
    • Whether it overlaps with or complements the "discussion" and "posts" features
  • Assign sections of the document to specific team members for a final pass before submission.

๐Ÿ“… Next Meeting

  • Tentative Date: April 20
  • Agenda: Continue from section 3.4 onward, resolve "forum" ambiguity, and complete missing parts.
