Description of the Lab

The aim of this lab is to regroup our team assigned at previous semester's Cmpe352 lecture, meet with new members of our team (if exists), archive the old Cmpe352 resources (codes, pages, etc.), find the topic for our project, organize our new Wiki page for Cmpe451. Also we are required to document what we have done during the lab and create a lab report about these assignments.

Tasks done during the lab

Our first task was to meet with our new team members (if exists) and introduce ourselves to each other. As our team has no new members, we did not do anything about this task.
Our second task was to organize the repository. In a more detailed sense, we needed to create a new "/archive" folder and move all our Cmpe352 related documents under this folder. This task was done by Mesut Melih Akpınar, Oğuzhan Tuncer and Onur Kafkas.
Our third task was to organize our repo's Wiki page. In a more detailed sense, we need to establish a communication plan, create personal pages, and establish a general plan for our project.
- About our communication plan, Onur Kafkas was kept as our team communicator, we decided to keep using our old Whatsapp group from Cmpe352, and our weekly meetings were scheduled to Thursday 20.00 on our Discord group channel.
- About personal pages, links to our archived personal pages were set and as one of our previous members (Ali Bartu Konca) is currently not in the team, we changed our home page accordingly.
- About our general plan, we briefly talked about our roadmap (communication methods, using GitHub efficiently, project domain preference, etc.) and we will elaborate these plans in the upcoming meetings. These tasks were done by Gülşen Sabak, Nazlıcan Aka and Yasin Atlı.
Our fourth task was to document meeting notes from the lab, noting each member's contributions. This task was done by Ömer Faruk Erzurumluoğlu.
Our fifth task was to create a group lab report, reporting our completed tasks and explicitly stating each member's contributions during our assignment. This was done by Yusuf Kağan Çiçekdağ.

Apart from these pre-assigned tasks explicitly stated in our Cmpe451 Discord channel, we also have done some other tasks regarding our project, stated as follows:

We wrote our meeting notes for the lab (as one can also consider labs as a meeting), wrote down important points about our lab meeting according to our "meeting note template" which was created during our Cmpe352 project (currently archived)
We talked with one of our TAs, learned which project we are assigned to (Project 1), and our TA explained some important aspects which should be considered during the project implementation stage (eg. general description of our project, standardization considerations, etc.).
As a team, we discussed some ideas for the main theme of our project. We decided to choose our domain as a "finance", decided on some possible features of the website (eg. being able to see the up-to-date values of assets mentioned in the topics, being able to filter the news inside our forum according to their relationships with financial assets, allowing users to share their own asset portfolios), and asked our TA about his opinion.
