I’m Leyla Yayladere, a senior computer engineering student at Boğaziçi University. As a member of Group 9 in CmpE 352 during the Spring 2023 semester, I have been working on a scientific collaborator platform with 9 other team members. Our platform aims to facilitate scientific collaboration by allowing scientists to work together on theorems, share their results, and visualize their contributions. Over the course of 2.5 months, we have completed the requirements and design phases of the project, during which we have worked diligently to create a detailed plan for the platform's development.
Responsibilities
- Attending and actively participating in weekly meetings, taking detailed notes during some of the meetings
- Creating a Meeting Notes Template to organize discussions and track action items
- Learning best practices for GitHub
- Creation of GitHub Issue Labels based on our project requirements.
- Researching similar scientific collaborator platforms to help inform our design decisions
- Documenting related questions about project requirements to facilitate thoughtful and informed interactions with the product owner
- Preparing Web Mock-Ups to help visualize the platform's user interface and guide design decisions
- Creating the use case diagram for Basic Users, some of class diagrams and sequence diagrams for Basic User use cases
- Asking questions and seeking clarification on any ambiguous parts of the project requirements or design, in order to ensure team alignment and efficiency
