SCRUM is an agile development method that can be used as a life cycle for any project or as a tracking system. The SCRUM consists of some steps like preparation, calculation, sprint division and some useful graphical screening elements. To explain SCRUM briefly and respectively;

1. Project Backlog : Users wishes from a project like yours
2. Identify and choose stories that gonna be used
3. Release Backlog : Stories and wishes that have been chosen
4. Calculate the hours of work and prioritize every backlog
5. Put that backlogs into "SPRINTS"(i.e milestones ranges 2-30 days)
6. The Burn-Down Chart

The Burn-Down Chart reflects hours of work done in each day. From the chart you can predict your release date and you can track if you're on-time or late.
