Meeting objectives:

  • Talking about the project

  • Talking about possible themes/features

  • Sharing assignments and deciding on due dates

  • Deciding on where and when to meet next time

Outcomes:

  • We thought our project is very similar to some websites like Reddit, Quora and we talked about the features of those sites and how they could be improved.

  • We talked about possible features for our website and app. They include:

    1. Feed
    2. Trending topic (created automatically based on user's interests and/or location)
    3. Upvote/Downvote for Q&A
    4. Login page (if user wants to ask or answer questions. The user can freely read the Q&A without logging in).
    5. Checking for duplicate questions/topics
    6. Spam/block mechanism
    7. Report abuse
    8. Search
    9. Following based on tag attribute
    10. Periodical digest on mail (based on topics that may interest the user)
    11. Location (manual and/or automatic)
    12. Suggestions based on user's viewed questions/topics
    13. Sorting feature (flexible - can either sort by top rated answer or time)
    14. User profile (sharing job, interests and professions WILL BE required)
    15. A page for the users to freely request new features
    16. FAQ page
    17. Analytics tools (which country viewed my question the most etc)
    18. Being able to delete accounts

  • Each of us will write at least one persona by the next meeting. We talked about some possible personas.

  • Each of us will write at least five user stories by the next meeting.

  • Each of us will think about at least one product that could be a "rival" to our project.

  • Next meeting will be held on Tuesday 5.30 pm. Place will be decided later.

Assignments:

  • Everyone (per person): (at least) one persona, five user stories, one rival site (DUE: Monday March 7th, 11.59 pm)
