The wiki versus the readme

The readme should be relatively static, while the wiki can change often. The readme should only change when the resynthesizer itself changes, not when the environment changes. The web and the software environment (for example GIMP and download sites) changes frequently. The readme should not contain links that become stale. A change to the readme requires an explicit commit to the repository, while a change to the wiki does not.
