Specialized Item Usage - boot2big/immersive_vehicles_vanity GitHub Wiki

This page is reserved for information on specific items in Immersive Vehicles Vanity that may require additional instructions beyond their in-game tooltips.

Seat NPCs

On supported seat parts, NPC parts can be placed to simulate real drivers/passengers.
Note that these NPC parts cannot and will not self drive vehicles due to the limitations of Variable Modifiers, general Animation Variables and the upper limits of autonomous driving.
However, commendations to anyone who figures out how to implement self-driving vehicle parts.

Driving Animations

Right clicking on an NPC part's head will switch it from passenger animations to driver animations, which simulate the appearance of a real driving player.

Custom Skins

Refer to the Custom ImageURL Help Page for more information on custom NPC skins.

Parts Slot Converters

These will usually have tooltips that indicate the slots they fit in, along with the ones they unlock afterwards.\

Engine Modifications

Increases engine performance for higher top speed and faster acceleration.
Installed by placing an engine onto the Engine Tuning Bench, as long as the engine in question is compatible with IVV engine modifications.
(At the moment, I am not aware of any packs that use this system besides mine)

This also allows you to view the engine's current horsepower and hours counter. image

Fuel Ratio Mapper

More efficient fuel-to-air ratio at specific RPMs to maximize power.

Valvetrain Upgrade

Reinforces the engine's valvetrain so that the cams (or pushrods) can move faster without sustaining damage.
Slightly increases engine's maximum safe RPM

Forced Induction

A forced induction device is powered by the flow of exhaust gases, using this energy to compress the intake gas and forcing more air into the engine in order to produce more power.

Transmission

Most IVV engines come with a swappable gearbox, by default they will come with the 4-speed automatic transmission unless a newly-crafted engine is being placed into a vehicle meant to come with another transmission.

Handguns

Powerful handheld ranged weapons for quick removal of any hostile mobs or players.
Usually best left as a last resort

Crafting

Recipes for handguns and their ammos are fairly simple, though ammo costs will add up quickly depending on which weapon it's being crafted for.

Loading & Firing

Handguns will automatically reload themselves when held and are low on ammo, with specific weapons reloading whenever possible (Shotguns, revolver)
Some guns are equipped with a scope for long-range firing.

IVLabs ACIVE

The IVLabs Autonomous Computer Integrated Vehicular Enforcer (ACIVE) is a special utility armored hypercar.
While expensive and somewhat sassy, it is an extremely useful vehicle in the right (or wrong) hands of a skilled pilot.

Weapons

Weapon Ammo Capacity Ammo Type Function
Machine Guns 500 7.62x60mm Rapid fire dual machine guns with a fire rate of 1200 rounds per minute
Missile Launcher 20 20x140mm Active lock-on missile system with a fire rate of 120 rounds per minute

Boost

When the turbo-boost feature is activated on ACIVE, all ACIVE-specific engines (Turbojet V8, Magnitrox MkII) will increase their fuel consumption and maximum RPM respectively, and the turbo-boost jump will take the place of the horn control.
The jump function can only be used after all four wheels have been on the ground for a short period, and while any of the engines are running to create pressure in the Super-Hydraulics system. Each jump sends ACIVE roughly four blocks into the air regardless of forward/sideways heading!

Pointless Button

It has no use, and is absolutely pointless.
