Introduction

Your user profile consists of three different parts: the general user Profile information, Billing information, and the Bookalope Plans that enable your access to all of our tools. Once you’ve logged in, you can access all aspects of your user profile by clicking on the person icon in the top-right corner of the page, which opens the Main Menu.

Profile

Click on the Profile menu item to navigate to your user Profile page. In addition to your email address, your profile may contain a First Name and Last Name, but that’s optional. The Organization is a company you work for, or the name of some other entity that’s used to fill in an ebook’s certifiedBy accessibility property. In order to receive occasional email updates when we change and improve our software, you can opt in to Email Updates. And finally, the API Token is your own personal authentication token if you’d like to use Bookalope’s cloud API directly.

You can click the Edit Profile link at the bottom-left of the Profile page to change and manage all of your data (except the email address), or you can delete your profile and all of your data—meaning your complete Bookalope account—by clicking Delete Profile.

Payments

Click on the Billing menu item to navigate to your Payments page. If you haven’t added a valid credit card and billing address yet, then the Payments page won’t show any payment information but a link Add Payment Information. Otherwise, your current payment information is securely listed on this page.

Bookalope currently only accepts a credit card as payment information; however, if you require a different option please contact us. If you need your business’s tax number listed on your invoices and receipts, please make sure you enter that information at the bottom of the Edit Payment Information page.

Please note that Bookalope never stores your credit card information, or your payment and billing information. Instead, that information and all purchases and financial transactions—including invoices and receipts—are handled through Stripe.

You can always delete your payment information by following the Delete Payment Information link on the main Payments page, which only shows if you have already entered your payment information.

Plans

Click on the Plans menu item to navigate to your Plans page. Once you’ve set up your Billing information (see above) you can select and purchase a plan here.

A plan enables you to download the full versions of your converted books. Without a plan, your downloaded book’s content is subtly scrambled—words and letters are shuffled around—but you can still take a look at the complete book to get a good idea of how your final purchased books will look like.

The Plans page shows all of your available current plans, and a list of previous plan purchases (including download links to the purchases’ invoice and receipt). Notice the Basic plan with one Bookflow that’s already assigned to your account—the welcome gift you received when you created your account with Bookalope.

Click the Select and purchase another Plan link to open the Purchase a Plan page. Bookalope offers three different plans options: Basic and Pro and Enterprise. You can compare the features of the three plans on our Pricing page on the main Bookalope website. Select the plan that fits your needs best, and then select how many conversions you’d like to purchase. If you have a coupon code, then you can apply that code as well. Next, click the Purchase button and confirm your purchase and you’re done!
