account setup - bookalope/Bookalope GitHub Wiki

The first step in using Bookalope is creating your account. This is quickly sorted by heading to Bookalope’s website where you’ll see a LOG IN link in the upper right corner of the website.

That link takes you to our main Log In page where you can log in using your existing credentials, or you can create a new account with Bookalope by following the Sign Up link.

If you already have an account with us then fill in your credentials; alternatively, if you signed up using a third-party provider like Google, then please use that same provider again. If you already have an account but forgot your password, just click the Forgot Password link and follow the instructions.

If you’re already on our Sign Up page to create a new account, then fill in your first name & last name (optional) and your email address. Please make sure that you accept our Terms and Conditions. Then click the Sign up button, and Bookalope will email you instructions to set up your password. Alternatively, if you prefer to use an existing account that you might have with e.g. Google or Microsoft, you can use that account by clicking one of the Sign up using … buttons.

If you sign up with your personal email address, then Bookalope will send you an email containing a link to set your password. Enter your new password and then verify it by entering it again into the second password field. Click Reset password when you’re done. Note that the password should contain at least eight different letters, numbers, and punctuation characters. If you can’t think of a password, use the Redo button to the right of the password field to generate one for you (your browser will save your login credentials for you later, so you don’t need to remember a complex password). You’re also be able to see your typed password by clicking the eye icon on the right of the input field.

Once you’ve set your password, Bookalope returns you to the Log In page and where you can now log into your new account! Welcome!
