Behaviour

At first, flagellants will appear the same as any other heretic, but once they've taken enough damage they will reveal a nasty surprise. Tentacles will start bursting out of the heretic while it cries, before limping dead, fully having morphed into its counterpart.

The flagellant will chase you down halls extremely fast, and prefers to deal contact damage. It can also pause to fire 3 green flame projectiles in slightly random directions like a blaze.

Spawning

Flagellants only spawn in the mausoleum.
