View pallet-colors and when hovering over them you find the ROM offset at the bottom. You can also see the BGR-color-encoding value the SNES uses."


Double click on a color to open a color window. There you can pick or edit colors. The Button on the button "Add to custom color" will add the color to a temporary location to the left.


Tip: This is helpful to make a color gradient. Click on it once and the space-key will add the next color. (since space repeats last action) So you can move down the slider while pressing space to make a nice gradient. Then add this colors to the palette or use external tools for it.

Palette Info

This first palette contains of 4 pallets in 2bpp encoding used for the HUD. (BG3)
The next 7 are 4bpp for level background. The lower one usually used for the background.
Not all level use the whole range! 
Levels with palette animation overwrite the selected colors shown! (edit them externally)
The BG color is also contained in a palette not viable in the editor!

The lower 8 palettes are for sprites. Starting out with the players palette and followed of
4 palettes that are loaded in all stages. Except stage 9 has golden skeletons and the 2 lower one also
get overwritten in most boss loads. The last 3 sprite palette are unique in individual levels.
