Touch gestures
Vertical up swipe - scroll up or up arrow

C shape from top to bottom - cancel or ctrl-c
Circle shape from left side clockwise - zoom in or home
Circle shape from left side counterclockwise - zoom out or end
Lower case h shape from top - expand zones or hold left temporary
X shape from bottom left - close program or xkill
Square shape from top left down first - right temporary
Circle shape from left side clockwise(touch incorrect) - fix

Devuan (when available)
The systemd-free Debian clone. There is
no room for systemd on a small footprint device that will see a lot of
abuse and troubleshooting.
KDE 4 (now KDE 5)
This easy to understand desktop environment allows quick launching of
programs and easy multitasking. A usable on screen keyboard and forced
window sizes are unmatched features. Phone, SMS, Email and secure
messaging sit in the tray area for easy access.
XFCE 4 (Previous)
This simple desktop environment is lightweight and boots fast. This software is also still highly supported and will be around for a long time. Phone, SMS, Email and secure messaging sit in the tray area for easy access.
Linphone
A stalwart of standards based internet communication. Linphone is easier to troubleshoot and has better performance than competing alternatives. It is also well supported by VOIP providers and works across all
major operating systems.
Modem-Manager
Allows for SMS messaging and reliable signal strength monitoring. The GUI
program is more advanced than Gammu front ends. There is even an
interface for cellular location data.
Kopete
Built in KDE secure chat client that works acceptably with a low footprint.
Large plug in system and video support. It also has support for many different conferencing protocols.
Pidgin (Previous)
GTK based secure chat client with excellent features and performance. Still under active development.
Claws Mail
Very light footprint email client. Plugin system available.
Icedove (Previous)
Full function email client. Kmail had rtc related encryption issues,
issues with gmail login, and issues with kwallet password retention. Can
be customized with a simplified smartphone-like interface.

Router App
One click router app for sharing cellular connection over ethernet.
Debug App
The control panel for the smartphone features of the device.
Volume Control App
Simple setting utility that can mute or boost audio for media or speakerphone usage.
