5G-NR: Fifth Generation New Radio radio access technology; 5G data [extremely fast]

asu: Arbitrary Strength Unit; integer value proportional to the received signal strength measured by the device

B##: LTE band; superscript suffix indicates additional carrier, but not necessarily carrier aggregation

BER: GSM Bit Error Rate; percentage of bits received with errors

BID: CDMA Base Station ID (hex value in parenthesis)

BSL: CDMA Base Station Location; address of 1X site or sector (varies by provider)

BW: LTE bandwidth; the frequency space dedicated to a channel

CA: LTE Carrier Aggregation; when multiple carriers are combined to increase useable bandwidth

CDMA: Code Division Multiple Access radio access technology; digital voice and data standard, common in USA (Sprint, Verizon)

CID: GSM Cell Identity

CQI: LTE Channel Quality Indicator

CSI-RSSI: Channel State Information Received Signal Strength Indicator

CSI-RSRP: Channel State Information Reference Signal Received Power

CSI-RSRQ: Channel State Information Reference Signal Received Quality

CSI-SINR: Channel State Information Signal-to-Noise and Interference ratio

DAS: Distributed Antenna System

EARFCN: E-UTRA Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number; represents central frequency in use

Ec/Io: Ratio of received energy and interference level

ECI: LTE E-UTRAN Cell Identity; uniquely identifies an LTE site and sector within a provider's network; decimal format of GCI

EDGE: Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution; GSM-based 2G data [slow]

eHRPD: Evolved High Rate Packet Data radio access technology; CDMA-based 3G data, allows for handoff between EV-DO and LTE [faster]

EV-DO: Evolution-Data Optimized radio access technology; CDMA-based 3G data [faster]

GCI: LTE Global Cell Identity; uniquely identifies an LTE site and sector within a provider's network; hex format of ECI

GPRS: General Packet Radio Services; GSM-based 2G data [slow]

GSM: Global System for Mobile Communications; digital voice and data standard, used in USA (AT&T, T-Mobile) and common worldwide

HC: High Capacity; usually seen on MM (Mini-Macro) cells with increased capacity

HSDPA: High Speed Downlink Packet Access; GSM-based 3G data [faster]

HSPA: High Speed Packet Access; GSM-based 3G data [faster]

HSPA+: Evolved High Speed Packet Access; GSM-based 3G data (sometimes referred to as 4G) [very fast]

HSUPA: High Speed Uplink Packet Access; GSM-based 3G data [faster]

ID: EV-DO Sector ID

IP: Internet Protocol Address

iDAS: Indoor Distributed Antenna System

LAC: GSM Location Area Code

LTE: Long Term Evolution radio access technology; 4G data [very fast]

MB: Sprint Magic Box; all-wireless plug-and-play LTE small cell for businesses and consumers

MM: Mini-Macro; Nokia® equipment used on the Sprint LTE network for both macro and small cell band 41 deployment

n##: 5G-NR band

NCI: NR Cell Identity; uniquely identifies a 5G-NR site and sector within a provider's network

NID: CDMA Network ID

oDAS: Outdoor Distributed Antenna System

PCI: LTE Physical Cell Identity; identifies an LTE or NR sector

RSSI: Received Signal Strength Indicator

RSRP: Reference Signal Received Power

RSRQ: Reference Signal Received Quality

SC: Small Cell; lower-powered, lower-cost wireless node that provides coverage to a smaller area than a macro cell

SS: Single-Sector; a cell that has only one omnidirectional sector

SS-RSSI: Synchronization Signal Received Signal Strength Indicator

SS-RSRP: Synchronization Signal Reference Signal Received Power

SS-RSRQ: Synchronization Signal Reference Signal Received Quality
