It seems that in the RC world, male is female and female is male. In my case, I ordered female (socket) Futaba-style connectors and I received male (pin) connectors. Before complaining, I googled it and found that RC genders are backward on servos!---so very strange. So I ordered rc-male and received the female (socket) that I needed. Now we have harnesses that plug onto the male pins of the receiver---and some extra male (pin) plugs that may come in handy.
