Robots are for Kids Too was an 9-person team (7 kids). It involved a propane torch for ignition and six bilge-pump motors, with small propellers, for propulsion. It's a somewhat large PVC structure. Control is not proportional but they do have a very fancy microwave remote-control. Submersion did not seem to be part of the plan, for several reasons. It was boxy and silver. It seemed to have good control. I'm guessing that the torch was running for the duration.
Rutland Area Robotics was "IBOTS Team 2370". It had a two-tone green nylon body with a trolling-motor. A window in the side? An odd shape but it looked nice.
